Director Craig Leishman established Boutique in February 2007 with a vision of providing cost effective and solution orientated secretarial services. Boutique remains focused on just that. It has grown rapidly as a result of the specialist expertise and enthusiasm Craig and the BBCL team brings to the business.

Craig practiced law in the property field for fifteen years after graduating with an LLB and BComm (accounting major) from Otago University. Whilst practicing law Craig became involved with the Unit Titles Act and began acting as a Body Corporate secretary. A Diploma in Property was obtained in 1997 to complement the law and accounting degrees.

After a period of involvement in the timber and bloodstock industries Craig returned to the secretarial role after being invited by NZ’s largest Body Corporate secretary to manage their problem Body Corporates and in particular leaky buildings. Complexes suffering from construction issues remain a large part of Craig’s personal portfolio within Boutique.

Craig enjoys the challenges of the industry and puts the impressive growth achievements of Boutique down to the service ethics both he and the team bring to their roles.

Peter McConnell

As a Chartered Accountant with experience in commercial and professional roles in NZ, Australia, and the UK, Peter has a wide range of experience to draw on. This allows him to support the BBCL team across many areas including finance, accounting, tax, human resources, marketing, sales management, procurement, systems, and IT. Peter’s finance and consulting background ensure BBCL’s body corporate clients are well represented in negotiations with external suppliers and consultants where he strives to deliver innovative solutions focused on win: win outcomes.

Peter’s previous roles include more than ten years as General Manager of a large, franchised, retail group. He was responsible for development of new sites, project managing store fitouts, developing and implementing marketing systems and strategies, negotiating leases and supply arrangements, and maintaining productive relationships with franchisees. More recently Peter has been involved in the property sector, as General Manager for a group providing property management services and acquiring commercial and residential property for syndicated and individual investment.
